One year old Staffy, Loki’s session was a dream. Not only was he HEAPS of fun to work with, I have never met a dog who loves chasing balls quite as much as Loki does! But mother nature turned the weather dial to 11.

Just as we arrived at New Brighton beach a rainbow appeared. We all dashed to the beach but it disappeared before I got any really great shots. A little disappointed but still in awe of the gorgeous light and Loki’s modeling skills we shot lots of action as he tirelessly chased and lept for his ball. 10 minutes later the rainbow came back, bright and bold and it hung around for ages. I grabbed as many shots as I could, not knowing how long it would be around for the second time around. I ended up very cold and wet, laying down in the water to get the angle I needed to capture the rainbow and Loki’s reflection on the wet sand. It was worth it, I’m sure you’ll agree!

As the session came to an end we were treated to a sunset filled with gold and yellows, changing to pastel oranges and pinks as twilight began.

I previously wrote a short post about the day of Loki’s shoot, when I also met Angel. Check it out here. WARNING: you may need a box of tissues.
