Furtography Gives Back
Helping Animals Find Homes.
Here at Furtography, it is our belief that one single image has the power to save a life. In a world where we shop for everything online, including our pets, it is increasingly important for charities to have images of their adoptable animals that are engaging and eye catching – images that will stop people scrolling and make them look, and feel. We feel honoured that we can use our skills as animal photographers to help those in need.
Being animal lovers, it is often hard to see and hear of some of the horrific stories some of the animals in shelters have endured. It is our MISSION to help as many of these lost souls find love and know what it feels like to have a family.
We volunteer for several charities locally including: K9 Rescue and Rehoming, G.A.P. (Greyhounds As Pets), SPCA Canterbury, Second Chance Dog Rescue, Chihuahua Rescue New Zealand, Cat Rescue and Cats Protection League.
The Kotuku Foundation.
In 2017 I became an ambassador for the Kotuku Foundation Assistance Animals Aotearoa. Their work to train and place dogs in homes where people can benefit from their assistance is something I am proud to highlight in my role as ambassador.

Fundraising
We donate several Furtography session vouchers to silent auctions at fundraising events every year. A portion of our own events, like Santa Paws sessions, are donated to charitable organisations. Previous events have helped K9 Rescue, Cat Rescue, Dogwatch, Cats Protection League and more.
If you have bought copies of our books ‘Quake Dogs’ or ‘Quake Cats’, you have also contributed to the welfare of animals in our community. A portion of royalties from ‘Quake Cats’ is being donated to Cat Help and Cat Rescue while ‘Quake Dogs’ has helped raise funds for HUHA. At the time of writing this, the figure is almost $30,000!
Booking a private Furtography session directly helps us to be able to continue supporting these organisations.
If you think your charity would benefit from a little Furtography love, please get in touch. We are always happy to help wherever possible.
